chronic absenteeism
This regional training is a two-day experience for individuals who will serve in support roles for district teams.
This two-day working event will acquaint participants with the National Dropout Prevention Center (NDPC) Strategic Process that will be used to guide district and school teams to develop highest impact local plans for attendance improvement. Participants will be guided to analzye attendance
data to determine root causes of truancy, including analysis of how the pandemic adversely impacted school attendance. Participants will become familiar with and learn to help others use the most current research-based best approaches to attendance improvement.
Participants will be provided with current NDPC support documents, practice-guides, and assessment instruments on both attendance and student engagement.
